Baby Bananas
The sweetest and smallest of all bananas, are grown at higher altitudes in Ecuador is the loved type of banana by children.

It is a perfect addition to lunchboxes, providing a good energy boost for active kids.

The baby banana, like all bananas, is loaded with nutrients and provides a good source of vitamin C, fibber, and potassium, which have many health benefits.

Red Bananas
The most exotic type of banana is smaller than the Cavendish, with a deep red or most of cases purple skin, with a sweet, creamy flavour.

Ideally, red bananas should be eaten when they are soft, but not mushy.

These bananas are very aromatic and also make an excellent snack food, being high in potassium and Vitamin C. Es alta en potasio y vitamina C.

Organic Bananas
FAVORITA Organic Bananas are grown without the use of chemicals and pesticides.

Our grower’s techniques are focused in the use of biological and natural methods to avoid pest and plant diseases.

We count with the BCS – ÖKO Garantie and Ceres certifications, both of them are very well recognized by the United States and European agriculture institutions.

Plantains
Plantains look very similar to their sweeter banana cousins, but they are much starchier in consistency and blander in taste.

They are usually cooked, but a very ripe plantain can be eaten raw.

As a plantain ripens, it changes color from green to yellow to black.

Unlike traditional bananas, the plantain is fully ripe and sweetest for eating when the colour has changed to black.

They can be used in soups, stews, boiled and mashed.
